Tshiozwi Dynamos restored their pride, by crushing the log leaders, Tshifhire Northern Brothers, 2-0 in their Safa Vhembe SAB League match at the Tshiozwi grounds on Saturday.
Brothers started the match purposefully and their first attack came as early as the eighth minute, when their top goal scorer, Edgar ”Ferare” Molewa, brought the best out of the Dynamos’ goalkeeper, Thendo Shivhishi, with a superb overhead kick. Mashudu Nengovhela of the home team was the culprit in the 15th minute when he headed a cross from Tshiginga Netshiendeulu over the bar.
In the second half, Dynamos' technical staff revealed their wisdom, when they replaced Mashudu Nengovhela with Alugumi Mamugudubi. The introduction of Mamugudubi was a clever move. He combined well with Mpho Mavhandu and Matodzi Maruli at the forefront. Dynamos put matters beyond doubt when Mpho Mavhandu beat three defenders in a row, including the keeper, before he scored easily.
In the 80th minute, Matodzi released a rocket that was too hot for the Brothers’ keeper to handle, to make the score 2-0.
Kaizer Nengovhela started writing stories for Limpopo Mirror in 2000. Prior to that he had a five year stint at Phala-Phala FM as sports presenter. In 2005 Kaizer received an award from the province's premier as Best Sports Presenter. The same year he was also nominated as Best Sports Reporter by the Makhado Municipality. Kaizer was awarded the Mathatha Tsedu award in 2014.
