LOUIS TRICHARDT – The well known Phelophepa Health Care Train will visit the Louis Trichardt Train Station for a week as from August 24 to 30.
Communities will get services as from August 26 to 30. Therefore all residents of the Louis Trichardt area are welcome to visit the train with their health problems.
The following services will be rendered at the train:
Health clinic: Consultation and health education are free of charge and the cost of medicine per prescription is R5. No immunization and family planning will be done on the train.
In the eye clinic, screening is free while the cost of an eye test is R30, and glasses (including reading glasses) will cost R30. No eye operations will take place on the train.
At the dental clinic screening and education is free of charge, and a small amount is payable for extractions and fillings.
According to counselling services, all workshops to cope with life problems such as abuse, stress, conflict, parenting and discipline are for free.
