Highlanders beat Try Again 2-1

Sport  Date: 18 April 2012

Ravele Highlanders were too good for Madombidzha Try Again when they beat them 2-1 in a Limpopo Dairy League match at the Ravele grounds on Sunday.
The score was not a true reflection of the game. The first half was characterised by wasted chances, with the home team dominating the proceedings. Maanda Maladzha of Try Again was unlucky when his volley hit the crossbar and bounced out for a goal kick. A similar situation took place in the 18th minute, when Rudzani Muregu caught the keeper off-guard. Lutendo Muhali cleared his grass-cutter from the goal line.
Highlanders opened their account in the 24th minute. Moses Maanda scored after a square pass from Khutso Machabaphala. Lutendo Muhali was cautioned for obstructing Khathutshelo Malima.
The home team went further ahead in the 40th minute, when Talifhani Mbelengwa was tripped within the box. That was a clear penalty for the home team. Thanyani Maphangwa put the matter beyond doubt when he showed the Try Again keeper, Tsepiso Manavhela, the wrong way from the penalty spot.
Try Again left Takalani Nemutundi in the dressing room at half time. He gave way to Rendani Gumede. Mutshutshu Ramabubuda scored the only goal for Try Again, after he beat three defenders in row.
