Dynamos collect more vital points

Although they managed to collect maximum points against FC AK last weekend, Dynamos are still not yet out of the danger zone.

The beat FC AK 4-3 in their national first division (NFD) league match at the Giyani Stadium on Sunday. Dynamos are lying in the fourth position from the bottom of the log, and only a win in their final league match against Carara Kicks on Sunday will make them retain their NFD franchise.

Nothing can save Atlie FC from the relegation axe. They remain rooted to the bottom of the log with 27 points, while the second-last side, Mpumalanga Black Aces, have 30 points. Atlie FC committed suicide by playing to a 1-1 draw with Sevutsa Stars at the Senaba Stadium in Johannesburg last weekend.

Although they lost their match against Mpumalanga Black Aces last weekend, University of Pretoria were crowned the NFD champions after the game. They were beaten 2-3 at the Rand Stadium.

Chippa United rose to the occasion and unexpectedly beat Blackburn Rovers 2-0 at the Phillipi Stadium in Cape Town. Rovers are one of the four teams whose aim is to compete in the promotional play-off matches at the end of the season.

In a Free State derby at the Charles Mopedi Stadium, Carara Kicks beat African Warriors 2-1.

Bay United beat Witbank Spurs 1-0 at the University of Limpopo Stadium, while Thanda Royal Zulu gave Vasco da Gama a day to remember when they crushed them 4-1 at the Richards Bay Stadium.

FC Cape Town beat United FC 2-0.
