Dynamos host Chippa in NFD clash

After playing two league matches away from home, Dynamos will be back on their home turf this weekend.

They will host Chippa United in an all-important National First Division League encounter at the Giyani Stadium tomorrow evening.

It is time for the struggling Dynamos to start collecting points or else they will be relegated to the Vodacom Promotional League at the end of the season. The pride of Giyani are currently lying in the third-last position on the log and a win in today’s match will enhance their chances of escaping the chop. On the other hand, Chippa United are one of the contenders for the league title.

Dynamos must keep a watchful eye on the three United strikers, James Nkoana, Lawrence Masedi and David Abrahams, or else they will be embarrassed in full view of their home crowd.

Three matches will be played tomorrow afternoon. Mpumalanga Black Aces will entertain FC AK at the Ackerville Stadium in Witbank. Aces are fighting for survival, and failure to collect the maximum points tomorrow will mean that they remain rooted at the bottom of the 16-team log.

Carara Kicks will undertake a journey to Cape Town. They will lock horns with FC Cape Town at the NNK Rugby Stadium. Both Carara Kicks and FC Cape Town are in winning mode after winning their last two matches in a row. Vasco da Gama and United FC will meet at the Parow Park Stadium in Cape Town.

The remaining four fixtures will be played on Sunday afternoon. Amatuks, as they are commonly known, will take on Sevutsa Stars at the Absa Tuks Stadium. Amatuks are leading the pack, despite the fact that they dropped significant league points in their last two matches.

Atlie FC and Witbank Spurs will meet at the Makhulong Stadium in Johannesburg. Thanda Royal Zulu and Blackburn Rovers will fight for league points at the Richards Bay Stadium, and African Warriors will host Bay United at the Charles Mopedi Stadium.
