The disciplinary committee (DC) of Safa Vhembe found Bungeni Young Tigers guilty of assaulting a referee and fined the team R5 000. The meeting of the DC took place in Thohoyandou last Friday.
In another ruling of the DC, a player, Thulani Hlaise, was suspended for six months after he was found guilty of assaulting a referee. Guvhungwa Young Fighters will receive the match points.
Musina United received a fine of
R3 000 for assaulting the referee in their match against Mutele Mountain Rangers. They also forfeited the game’s points to Rangers.
In a similar case, Tshiozwi Dynamos were fined R5 000 for assaulting the referee. They also forfeited the game’s points to the opponent.
Mphego Real Rovers were fined
R2 000 for fielding an improperly registered player when they played against Ngwenani Young Chiefs and they forfeited the game’s points to Chiefs. Thinawanga Mphego, a player of Rovers, was suspended for six months.
Zamenkomste United Brothers were fined R2 000 for assaulting the referee and causing the abandonment of the match against Makhitha Oscar Stars. Stars also receive the match’s points.
The DC ordered a replay between Madombidzha Arsenal and Mpheni Home Defenders, due to the abandonment of the match. Guvhungwa United were fine R2 000 for late arrival when they were supposed to play against Iyarunga X1 Smarties.
Kaizer Nengovhela started writing stories for Limpopo Mirror in 2000. Prior to that he had a five year stint at Phala-Phala FM as sports presenter. In 2005 Kaizer received an award from the province's premier as Best Sports Presenter. The same year he was also nominated as Best Sports Reporter by the Makhado Municipality. Kaizer was awarded the Mathatha Tsedu award in 2014.
