Ramantsha FC continued to pave their way to the Safa SAB league, when they beat Ravele Black Dragons 3-2 in a Limpopo Dairy league match at Ramantsha on Saturday.
The game started at a blistering pace, with the home side being the superior in as far as ball possession was concerned. Isaac Mudimeli of the home team opened the scoring, when he finished off a pre-cooked pass from Arlet Madima when the match was 15 minutes old. After the goal, Dragons changed their original pattern and started to initiate moves from behind.
They did not reap any rewards from their efforts, as it was not easy to find the way through the rock-solid defence of Ramantsha.
The team from Ravele was awarded a free kick in the 24th minute. Makgopo Mashao picked up the ball from the place kick and Nyadzani Magoro, who was in the perfect scoring position, gave it the final touch.
The centre half of Dragons, Lisimba Tshikota, was reprimanded with a card for an illegal tackle on Phumudzo Ramantswana.
Evance Ramantswana scored the team's second goal. He unleashed a powerful volley from the 25-metre area and the keeper of Dragons, Raymond Rakhavha, suffered the pain of watching the ball go beyond his reach. Ramantsha were leading 2-1 at half time.
The home team fortified the midfield by introducing Takalani Mabatha for Isaac Mudimeli early in the last half. The visitors effected some changes to their starting lineup, but this did not help them. Nyadzani Magoro levelled the score and completed his brace when he scored from 18 metres out.
The winning goal of the team was scored by Mashudu Dikgari in the 86th minute.
