2012 Kremetart Mountain Bike Race

Local cyclists dominated the 10km race during Sunday’s Kremetart/Coal of Africa Mountain Bike Challenge. Julene Schoeman cycled across the finish line first in a time of 0:31:47. Second and third were sisters Jess and Shereeze Henning, finishing in times of 0:39:21 and 0:39:22 respectively. From left to right are Jess, Shereeze and Julene.

In the junior boys category of the Kremetart´s 10km mountain bike race, two brothers on the podium. First to cycle across the finish line in a time of 0:27:59 was Andrè Viljoen. On his heels were brothers Anthony and Douglas Archer in times of 0:30:25 and 0:31:20. From left to right are André, Anthony and Douglas. At the back with them is Andrè Prinsloo, CEO of P&L Hardware.

The first three men in the 30km Kremetart Mountain Bike Challenge. In first place was Ian Pienaar (1:31:48). Arthur Verhage (1:41:59) was second and third place belonged to local cyclist Jonathan van Dijkhorst (1:44:00). From the left are Arthur, Ian and Jonathan. At the back with them is P&L Hardeware CEO André Prinsloo.

Talita Botha from Goldfields Cycling Club was the first woman home in the 30km race of the weekend´s Kremetart/Coal of Africa Mountain Bike Challenge. She finished the race in a time of 1:53:24. From left to right are P&L Hardware CEO André Prinsloo, Talita and second-place winner Wilma Pienaar (1:58:00).

Adolph Krige was the men´s champion in this year´s Kremetart/Coal of Africa Mountain Bike Challenge. He finished the race in a time of 2:08:43. The second rider to finish this tough route was also the rider who ended third overall in the Kremetart Stage race, Willie Smit. He completed the mountain bike challenge in a time of 2:08:44. The third rider home was local cyclist CP van Wyk in a time of 2:14:17. From left to right are CP, Adolph, P&L Hardware CEO André Prinsloo

This year´s ladies champion of the third Kremetart/Coal of Africa Mountain Bike Challenge was Nadine Nunes. She completed the 50km race in a time of 2:47:50. Second woman home and finishing only seconds after Nadine was local mountain bike star Sarah Venter in a time of 2:47:53. The third woman home was Nicolle van der Greft in a time of 2:57:52. Fromleft to right are Nicolle, Sarah and Nadine. With them is the CEO of P&L Hardware, André Prinsloo.
