Sentencing of businessman postponed yet again

The sentencing of businessman Yahya Shoeb Jiwa of Makhado (Louis Trichardt) has yet again been placed on hold. He had already pleaded guilty in July this year on charges relating to restricted activities on a special protected species without the necessary permits, after trying to buy rhino horns from a police agent earlier in the year.

Trucker arrested for smuggling copper

Three in custody for illegal cigarettes

1 536 cartons of illegal cigarettes were confiscated, and two suspects arrested by the dog unit team of the Makhado police last Friday. In a separate incident, only a moment later, another suspect was arrested after being found in possession of illegal cigarettes found hidden in the rear seat of his vehicle.
