Mayor hands over food parcels to storm victims

The mayor of Musina Municipality, Cllr Caroline Mahasela, handed out food parcels to 30 individuals who were victims of the recent thunderstorms and heavy winds which damaged houses and destroyed trees at Madimbo village, outside Musina. Nineteen houses were affected by the thunderstorms and some roofs were blown off.

Manavhela village shocked to silence by murder and rape

A 32-year-old woman was raped and murdered at her home in Manavhela village in the Kutama area last week, but neighbours and other people staying nearby are tight-lipped – possibly fearing that the killer will turn on them. When Mirror visited the scene they indicated that they have not seen anything, but it was clear that few are prepared to risk the chance of later being asked to testify.
