Drawing is part of Rofhiwa

Rofhiwa Ndou, also known as “Ink yo Rotha,” is a gifted young artist from Muswodi Tshisimani. His remarkable talent lies in drawing realistic pencil portraits, earning him much respect from art lovers.

Ndou has had a true passion for art since he was a young boy. “I loved to draw, and as I grew older, it just became a part of me,” he said.

He uses different mediums and textures to express himself through his artwork. He said that to create beautiful art, one needed patience, discipline, imagination, and creativity. “Faces tell stories. When you take a good look at the lines, texture, and tones in someone’s face, you find a story behind it. I want to capture that.”

The up-and-coming artist said he wanted to show people that God’s gifts could take them somewhere in life if they only used them to the full. “My artwork completes me. I push myself and make a habit of using the creative talent given to me.”

Ndou dreams of seeing his work put up in a museum one day. “My biggest dream is owning my own art gallery and showcasing my artwork around the world.”

He said that when he first started to share his artwork on Facebook, he had been amazed by the encouragement and feedback he had received. “I was pleasantly surprised. I did not anticipate such a positive response, and I gained many new clients,” he said.

Despite having already gained attention on social media for his impressive skills, Ndou believes that he has much more to achieve. “I still believe that there is something special about the human touch that makes art so valuable and important in society,” he said.

He also started experimenting with painting clothes and shoes. “I hope to become one of South Africa’s renowned artists. I will not rest until I make this happen,” he said.

Kaizer Nengovhela

Kaizer Nengovhela started writing stories for Limpopo Mirror in 2000. Prior to that he had a five year stint at Phala-Phala FM as sports presenter. In 2005 Kaizer received an award from the province's premier as Best Sports Presenter. The same year he was also nominated as Best Sports Reporter by the Makhado Municipality. Kaizer was awarded the Mathatha Tsedu award in 2014.
