Mu Africa releases his newest single

Tshingondo (rhumba) music maestro Mu Africa Marko and the Big Machine have finally succumbed to pressure from his fans and released a new single.

The well-known rhumba artist has been flooded with persistent calls for him to release new songs. The new single, “Kha Dzhene Mu Africa,” was released at the beginning of April and is already receiving much acclaim at well-known joints. The number was recorded at Mphaga Studio in Muledane.

Mu Africa enlisted the services of one of the elders in the rhumba music space, popular musician Tshigomboza. He also roped in Mbangi Mphaga of Mphagani Sound. Mu Africa's last album, “Volume 9 Vhutshilo,” was released in 2022.

When asked about his latest single, he said he had been under severe pressure from his fans to give them something new. “I have taken too long to come up with something fresh. My fans kept reminding me that I owed them, and I have been giving excuses. Some would even tell me openly that I was letting them down, and my inbox was flooded with requests for a new album. I could no longer withstand the pressure. A single was the nearest thing I could do to cool them down,” he said.

He added that he had enough material to release an album. “The single took me two days to record, and many will be asking themselves how it was possible. The answer is simple. I worked with the best on this project. Tshigomboza is an elder with vast experience in the field, and it has been my wish to work with him. This was a dream come true for me,” he said.

Mu Africa added that the project had been made much easier by his working with studio owner and popular rhumba musician Mbangi Mphaga. “I can now promise my fans an album will soon be out. They must just be patient and give me time to come up with the best,” he said.
