Can Vasco da Gama stop Black Leopards?

Vasco da Gama should regard themselves lucky if, by chance, they manage to go back to Cape Town with a draw from their National First Division League match against Black Leopards. The two teams will lock horns at the Thohoyandou Stadium tomorrow afternoon.

Black Leopards are a force to be reckoned with this year. Their new head coach, Mr Zeca Marques, has assembled a fearsome squad and Da Gama should keep a watchful eye on the Leopards’ sharpshooters, Ruggert Nyundu and Leonard Ntshangase. On the other hand, it would be a suicidal mistake for Black Leopards if they underestimate the visitors from the mother city.

Vasco da Gama will pin their hopes on their fast forwards, Sbusiso Mxoyana and Aleni Lebyane, for goals. The Capetonians lost 1-2 to Cape Town All Stars last weekend, while Leopards collected full points when they beat Wtbank Spurs 2-1 last Saturday.

The other NFD matches that will also be played tomorrow afternoon are: FC Cape Town vs Witbank Spurs, Lamontville Golden Arrows vs Jomo Cosmos, Thanda Royal Zulu vs Santos and Baroka FC vs Milano United.

Sunday's matches are African Warriors vs Garankuwa United, Royal Eagles vs Cape Town All Stars and Highlandspark vs Maluti FET College.
