Nemakonde Challenge starts this weekend

 

This weekend marks the beginning of the annual Boy Nemakonde Soccer Challenge.

As in the previous two years, eight teams from Tshaulu and the surrounding areas will participate. The quarterfinal matches will be played at the Tshifudi Stadium tomorrow (Friday). The semifinals will be played on Sunday, while the final will be staged at the same venue next Saturday (27 June).

The eight teams that will take part in the tournament are Tshaulu Powerline, Munangwe United Brothers, Dimani Young Masters, Begwa FC, Lukalo Hotspurs, TMT Junior Birds, New Look FC and Mubvumoni XI Arrows.

The quarterfinal fixtures are: TMT Junior Birds vs Lukalo Hotspurs, Dimani Young Masters vs Begwa FC, Munangwe United Brothers vs New Look FC and Mubvumoni XI Arrows vs Tshaulu Powerlines.

Murudi added that all teams, together with the fans, will be provided with free transport to and from the stadium as part of the sponsorship for the tournament. Tshaulu Powerlines are the defending champions.
