Classic and Hotspurs in Giyani derby

The struggle for promotion and to escape relegation at the end of the season will continue among the teams affiliated to the Limpopo Stream of the ABC Motsepe League this weekend.

Joe Maweja, the only hope for Vhembe District, will travel all the way to Mokopane tomorrow where they will fight for league points against Mosesetjane All Stars at the Mahwelereng Stadium.  Should they manage to collect full points, Maweja will move a step up on the log and settle in fifth position.

Maweja will pin their hopes on Walter Netshimbulu, Takalani Ramagalela and Khumbudzo Muvhango for goals, while their defenders, Dakalo Ratshitanga, Khongotela Mahlaule and Thompho Maliehe, must make sure their danger area is always clean. On the other hand, it will be a matter of life and death for All Stars as they are fighting for survival in the third-last position on the log.

The match not to be missed will be staged at the Malamulele Stadium. That is where the Giyani derby between Gawula Classic and Giyani Hotspurs will be played. Hotspurs are still fresh from a 3-0 victory over Bilika All Stars, while Classic lost 0-1 to Joe Maweja at the Tshifulanani Stadium last Saturday.

The Dolphins will host Boyne Young Tigers at the Polokwane Eldorado Stadium. Young Tigers are sharpened to kill after beating Polokwane United 2-1 last weekend. Lephalale Young Killers will have a date with Polokwane United at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium. Young Killers shared the spoils with Nkowankowa Barcelona, following their goalless draw last Saturday.

Bellevue Winners Park will meet the pace setters, Magezi FC, at the Giyani Stadium. A1 Terrors will lock horns with Great North FC at Mookgopong Stadium. Polokwane Academy will pay a visit to Nkowankowa Barcelona at the Nkowankowa Stadium in Tzaneen. Mighty FC will take on Bilika All Stars at the Giyani Stadium.
