R60 000 at stake in Zingamunga games

 

The Top 8 of the Zingamunga Trading soccer tournament will take place at the Zwigondini grounds on Saturday and Sunday.

The tournament started with 16 teams and is sponsored with an amount of R60 000.

The winners will go home with R5 000, a new soccer kit, a floating trophy, gold medals and four soccer balls, while the runners-up will receive R3 000, new soccer kit, silver medals and four soccer balls. The third- and fourth-placed team will receive R2 000, new soccer kit and four soccer balls each. The other four in the Top 8 will each go home with R1000, new soccer kit and four balls each.

The director of Zingamunga Trading, Mr Anell Mudau, has indicated that his company is ploughing back what it gained from the community. “It is through the support from the community that this business is where it is today,” he added. He also congratulated the organisers for developing the talent of the youth around the area. He said that Vhembe was a region rich in talent and "we have over the years seen some talented South African soccer players being unearthed from this area”.  He said that he was committed to local football development.

Kaizer Nengovhela
