Mass relegation for Castle regional teams

 
THOHOYANDOU – The Castle Regional League teams that have finished their last season programme in the last seven positions will be campaigning in the lower division when the league activities for the new season start in a few weeks time.

The Chief Executive Officer of the Northern Province East Regional Football Association, Mr Samuel Matodzi, revealed this. According to him, the log leaders from each of the five Solly's League streams will be automatically promoted to the Castle Regional League.

Mphambo Kill Them All are the champions of Stream A of the Solly's League. Stream B was won by Avkhom Hotel Football Club. Nkuri Fast Move or Rhungulani All Stars will join the other four teams on their way up. Fast Move and All Stars are still waiting for the outcome of the appeal that was filed by Fast Move.

Tshimbupfe Disco Stars finished their league programme on top of Stream D. Stream E was under the leadership of Vhulaudzi Rampama when the league programme came to an end. According to Matodzi the seven teams that will face the chop include Kibi Trio Stars, Pfananani Home Defenders, Messina Copperpot, Tshakhuma XI Hunters, Hlanganani Try Again, Vyeboom All Stars and Mukondeni Freedom Fighters. Wilson Express who finished the season on top of the Castle Regional League have been promoted to the Vodacom Promotional League.
