According to the principal, Mr Thambulo Jan Madzivhandila, thieves stole a radio, toilet paper, staplers, a paper punch and spilled Jeyes Fluid all over the classroom. He said the chalkboard, cupboard, locks, flowers, register book and other books were damaged.
Madzivhandila said it is the third time the school has experienced similar problems. During a previous break-in, sports equipment such as soccer balls, netballs, softballs and volleyballs were stolen.
The School Governing Body chairperson, Mr Solomon Malima, said the school belongs to the community and they must respect their property. Vandalizing the school will hinder progress in the Shayandima area. “We need our children to enjoy education in good classroom conditions,” Malima ads.
