Mrs Christina Ravhuanzwa (84), who is now a pensioner, also worked at the Mutale Health Centre after she was moved from Mukula and Tshaulu Clinics, where she worked under difficult conditions.

Mrs Ravhuanzwa told Mirror that during her days "there were no trade unions, electricity and transport. Mrs Ravhuanzwa is regarded as a pioneer who worked very hard as a midwife and as a nurse. She further said that two of her daughters followed into her footsteps and four of her grand daughters are also nurses.

MEC Moloto congratulated Mrs Ravhuanzwa for her hard work and commitment in her work. He further stated that there are many people who lost their lives due to diseases, which could have been prevented or cured. This has been a lack of access to health facilities. He said that the government has committed itself to providing access to health facilities".

Chief Nemulodi pleaded with the MEC that the Mutale Health Centre be transformed into a hospital.
