Radio Thohoyandou’s new breakfast-show host, Nakisani Mabogo, is giving listeners the time of their lives, keeping their ears glued to their radios. Having only started in August 2023, the popular presenter from Thohoyandou M East is fast becoming a household name and has amassed thousands of listeners within a short space of time. He presents the “91.7 Breakfast on Radio Thohoyandou” show, which airs between 7:00 and 10:00 from Monday to Friday and is an interaction between him and the listeners via social media.
Mbulaheni Musenwa, a 19-year-old from Madombidzha, has made his parents and teachers proud by publishing his first book of short stories titled “New Mind, New Life” on 21 March. Mbulaheni, a Grade 12 learner at Maluta High, simply loves writing stories.
Takie Ndou, the popular gospel artist, songwriter, and music producer, is poised to make a major comeback during his forthcoming live recording. The live recording, called “The Glory”, will take place at Carnival City’s Big Top Arena on 20 April.
Residents of Vhembe, especially those from Makhuvha outside Thohoyandou, are in for a treat this Easter weekend. This follows the confirmation that the legendary Tshivenda traditional music group, Adziambei Band, will make their first major public performance since 2013. The show, dubbed the Miengelani Festival, will take place at the David and Alice Fountain Resort in Madzwarani Hamakhuvha on Friday, 30 March.
