‘n Massiewe mensejag is Dinsdagoggend geloods na twee hoogs gevaarlike geweldsmisdadigers wat uit die Kutama Sinthumule Maksimum Sekuriteitsgevangenis buite Louis Trichardt ontsnap het.

Die ontsnapping het ‘n einde gebring aan die gevangenis se geen-ontsnappingsrekord sedert dit op 1 Februarie 2002 geopen is. Dit plaas nou ‘n vraagteken oor die versekering wat voor die bou van die gevangenis aan inwoners van Louis Trichardt en omstreke gegee is dat niemand ooit daaruit sal ontsnap nie. Die gevangenis word op private grondslag, in vennootskap met die Departement van Korrektiewe Dienste, bedryf.
