Gospel singer Trica Selala has just recorded a live album, Ose lahle Tshepo/ Ungalahli ithemba, and it comprises 15 songs.

A resident of Ha-Funyufunyu, Trica has just returned from Lesotho, where she performed songs from the new album and shared the stage with Botswana Culture Spears. “People of Lesotho liked my music, old and new songs,” she said.

The songs include Ngihamba no Jesu, Mme waka, and Re rute go rapela.

The title of the album is a motivation to her because it encourages her "to hang on and never lose hope." It highlights her journey in life and has a track dedicated to her mother, whom she lost and who has not seen how she has grown in her career.

Trica has touched audiences nationally, and they in turn have made their impact upon her. “I believe that my fans enhance my career and that they complete my career outlook, and it inspires me to feel their love and appreciation,” she said. “And each year and in each album I am humbled that there are people who want to hear my songs. It is truly motivating.”

Trica has performed at many gospel music events and continues to inspire listeners across the country. She also takes her music to her fans by doing in-store promotions and performances in public places.

She has just received an invitation to come and perform in Malawi. “Right now I am working on a project with a well-known Botswana artist by the name of Charmer Girl,” she said.
