New single for Felas

His real name is Tshifhiwa Netshituni but he is more widely known by his stage name, Felas. After disappearing from music circles about four years ago, this resident of Khubvi village outside Thohoyandou is back with another single.

Felas said that he fell in love with music at a young age. He is, however, no ordinary artist, and works as a producer and actor too. He released his debut movie, “tshiphiri”, in 2019. At that stage he was in Grade 10 at the Gumani Technical High School. The movie is about a boy who is abused by his stepmother after losing his biological mother at a tender age.

In 2019, Felas also released a number of singles, including “A ri ho ro bva” and “Corona I do fhela”. After releasing the singles, Felas vanished from the scene and only resurfaced with “Ni to fhumula” last week.

When asked why he had decided to leave his fans with so many questions, following his disappearance over the past four years, Felas said that he was busy cooking up something special for his enthusiastic fans.

In his new release, Felas is trying to highlight the day-to-day challenges that most people are facing, especially those who are in abusive relationships. He singled out the late Mr Joe Mafela and ASA as his role models. At the age of 20, Felas believes that he still has a lot to offer in the music and entertainment industry. He promised his fans another movie before the end of this year.
