Ampfarisaho, the new kid on the poetry block

At the age of 16, young poet Ampfarisaho Hope Mudau is starting to make an impact in the poetry world. The girl from Tshitavha Tsha Sambandou, who is a Grade 11 learner at St Augustine Residential School in Tshandama Mutale, has already penned 70 poems in English and Tshivenda.

Popular radio deejay and musician Diimiseni Mualusi, who goes by the stage name Dj Vhangani Muimbi wa Mapiano, never tires of coming up with fresh new vibes. The musician from Tshaulu, who also happens to be a presenter for a local online radio station, seems to be relentless. On 23 December, he released his second album, “Afrika Tshipembe”, which is highly in demand with his fans. Shortly after that, on 1 January, he caused more hype when he released his brand-new single, titled “Mavhulaise”.

Ms Mathilda Avhashoni Mamatseane, a disabled carpenter from Gondeni la Mabilu, who recently won an award at the Murumba Cultural Parade Awards, aims to inspire other disabled individuals. The awards ceremony took place at Tshifulanani Stadium on Friday, 15 December. Mamatseane received recognition in the Arts and Crafts category for her exceptional craftsmanship.

Slide will still be making music, but only on the side
