Police finally made a breakthrough in the murder case of the Venda musician, Moses Maringa. The gruesome murder was committed in March 2010, but the suspects managed to elude the long arm of the law for quite some time. In a twist of events, the police arrested six suspects earlier this year.

The fraud case against the suspended chief of traffic of the Thulamela Municipality was postponed once more and the case was transferred back to the Sibasa Regional Court.
