Rugby sevens tournament a success despite bad weather

Louis Trichardt's first rugby team won the Limpopo Sevens Rugby Tournament over the past weekend. They won all their matches that was played out on the rugby field of Makhado (Louis Trichardt). Teams from the University of Venda, Polokwane, Letaba and Mokopane competed against each other in drizzling weather, but still provided action packed rugby.

103 Year-old gogo's funeral a celebration

Instead of mourning the passing away of their beloved granny, the Nephalama family of Vyeboom village in the Vuwani area was celebrating on Sunday morning. Mrs Tshinondiwa Mafeladengwa Mulaudzi Nephalama was one of the oldest inhabitants of the Vhembe region. At the age of 105, she succumbed to a short illness at her Vyeboom home in the early hours of last Wednesday morning. She was buried at Vyeboom village on Sunday.
