An award ceremony nearly turned into chaos because of what appears to be a power struggle between two traditional leaders. Khosi Ndidivhani Nyamande of Matangari Village, outside Thohoyandou, gave a written ultimatum to his counterpart, Vhamusanda Luvhaivhai Tshivhase, not to continue with an award ceremony for three schools, scheduled for the same day, in the village last week.

Killers and Artists game ends in drama

The Lidoda Duvha League match between Giant Killers and United Artists, which was played at the Muledane grounds on Saturday, ended in a dramatic fashion. The hosts, Giant Killers, were leading 2-1 when the game took an ugly turn and was ultimately abandoned.
